Dishwasher

If finding water spots on dishes, use a half cup of white vinegar with every load to clean out the hard water and calcium deposits.

Getting the water hot at the sink before you start a load is recommended for use.

Stove

Sometimes if you have a low flame, in only one burner it can be a little spider web or debris. Use straightened out paper clip to clear the hole under the burner.

Spilled food can stop a stove burner from turning on. To remedy this, grab a toothbrush and gently brush off the spills from the igniter.

Dryer

Keep the lint screen clean before each couple loads to ensure that lint doesn’t fall into the inside of the dryer and this will help the dryer run at its best.

If you think your dryer could use a little extra help when it comes to heating your clothes, the solution could be to unclog the lint filter. You can test this first by running water over the filter. If it holds water, then it’s time to start cleaning. Using a stiff kitchen brush, scrub the filter with a bit of laundry detergent and hot water.

Washer

On front loads, leave the door slightly ajar to keep from building mold inside the washer tub.

Use a full cup of white vinegar without clothes into the tub and run it on a normal cycle for a washer clean out.

If there is water coming out by the door of the washer. Make sure to clean the inside glass right by the seal where there are any calcium deposits. Even a hair in the way of the seal can cause it to leak a little bit.

fridge

Cleaning the condenser coils is recommended every couple of year. More often if you have shedding pets. The condenser coils are usually located under the front of the fridge or in the back.

Make sure you regularly check the rubber gaskets found on your fridge and freezer doors. Once in a while, scrub off food and debris with some soap and water and dry with a towel. This will help the doors seal tight, trapping all the cool air inside for your food.

Having your refrigerator an inch or two away from the back wall can improve how your fridge runs.

Ice overtime in the ice bucket tends to have an odor and clogs up into ball of ice. Empty your ice bin once a month for fresh odorless ice.

Garbage Disposal

This trick can get your disposals blades sharp and leave it with a nice scent. Pop water and lemon slices in an ice tray and leave them to freeze. Once frozen, drop the fruity ice cubes in and switch your disposal on.
